I often look around and wonder,

How easily we surrender?

When everything around is mine,

I am still waiting for the correct time,

I am still waiting to be approved by me,

The day I will be ME!

Why I am only defined by roles?

Why I am recognized only when I am on role?

Where am I hidden?

Why I always have to score?

I am forced, I am overlooked,

I am pleased, I am booked,

because,

I am still waiting to be approved by me,

The day I will be ME!

I betray myself,

I manipulate myself,

I adjust myself, just to fit in,

I hold everyone up,

feeling left out sometimes,

waiting to be held at times,

because,

I am still waiting to be approved by me,

The day I will be ME.

I am done and over,

I had enough,

over with drama and over with expectations,

will design my own world,

where its only me,

and,

I don't have to wait for approval,

for

the day, I will be ME!
